Joyce Engstrom

Joyce Carol Engstrom was born December 18, 1946, and passed away on July 16th, 2023.

Although she called Minnesota her home her entire life, she enjoyed spending winters in Florida with her loving husband Johnny. She has traveled around the United States and areas of the world. Her passions in life were walking with her dogs, playing mahjong, cross country skiing, gardening, and hiking, attending musical and theatrical events, paddle boarding, kayaking, boating, marathon running and having a glass of wine and reading a good book. She was an amazing cook and loved making food for large groups of family and friends. Her education in chemistry allowed her to work in many fields, all while raising her family. Joyce's legacy lives on through her husband Johnny, their dog Sparkles, sons C. J. Smeby (Shaunetta), Soo Bok Smeby, stepson John T. Engstrom, her sister Linda Pepper (Ron), her brother Gordon Neuenfeldt (Vickie), Joyce's sister-in-law Jill LeMoine, her brother-in-law Jim Engstrom, 9 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.

A Celebration of Life will be Friday, August 4th at 11:00 am at Christ Church Old Frontenac. Visitation will be one hour before the service at the church. Burial will be in Frontenac Cemetery.
