Kendra K. Hanson

Kendra Kathleen Hanson, 52, of Ellsworth, passed away Saturday, December 27, 2025. She was born February 3, 1973 in Red Wing to Marlan and Kathleen (Phillips) Hanson. She grew up in Bay City and graduated from Ellsworth High School in 1991. She began working at Jostens, DBI and Hiawatha Bank. She later found her niche in the construction industry where she worked as an administrative assistant at Mac-K Construction, Derrick Construction, Core Main, and most recently at American Fence Co. Kendra will always be remembered for her love and dedication to her family and friends. She enjoyed the outdoors with her Dad and brother turkey and deer hunting and fishing up north. She grew up with her mom playing softball and bowling. Kendra was always willing to help volunteering at pet shelters where she loved helping animals, and at Basics For Local Kids where she helped keep local kids supplied with their basic needs. She enjoyed spending time with her cousins going to craft shows and baking cookies. She also enjoyed flowers whether it be picking at Flower Valley or planting boxes at her home or at the family plot at the cemetery. Kendra was a member at Eidsvold Lutheran Church.

Kendra is survived by her mother, Kathleen; brother, Ryan; uncle, Dan (Darlene) Phillips; aunts, Gloria Myer, Dorothy Johnson, Norma Hanson; numerous cousins; fur babies, Piper and Scooty. She is preceded in death by her father, Marlan; maternal and fraternal grandparents; aunts, uncles and cousins.

Memorial visitation will be 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Friday, January 9, 2026 at the Mahn Family Funeral Home, Bodelson-Mahn Chapel in Red Wing. A Celebration of Life will take place from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday, February 1, 2026, at The Bluffs in Hager City. In lieu of flowers memorials are preferred to Eidsvold Cemetery or to the family to then donate to Kendra’s favorite organizations.
