Kenneth "Ken" Vanberg

Kenneth Dale Vanberg, 67, of Red Wing, died on Sunday, September 28, 2025, at his home, surrounded by his family. He was born on November 27, 1957, in Red Wing, to Wilbur and Elizabeth (Keetley) Vanberg. He attended schools in Red Wing. In 1987, he married Teresa Martinmaas, and they later divorced. Ken worked for several businesses in Red Wing, including Eckblad Farms, Russ Reynolds Furniture, S.B. Foot Tannery, Wilson Oil, and Wylie Wilson Trucking. He also worked at the Stained Glass Shop in Red Wing for a number of years. On September 8, 2018, he was united in marriage to Michelle Jones after dating for many years. Ken enjoyed going to and participating in car races and car shows, playing slots, and hosting friends for Busch Lattes. Most of all, his passion was his Harley-Davidson and spending time with his kids and grandkids. You could always find him cheering on the Green Bay Packers at Mr. Bilz. Ken was a strong man, kind friend, and loving father who was always there to open up his heart and help others in times of need.

Ken is survived by his loving wife, Michelle; his children, Kelsey (Travis) Qualle, Max Vanberg, Cassie Conroy, Gabbie (Bobby) Urban, Shawn, and Edwin; grandchildren, Blaine, Remie, Zandyr, Quynn, Levi, Lincoln, and Lucas; brothers, Scott (Denese) Vanberg, Steve (Sherri) Vanberg, and Mike Vanberg; mother-in-law, Melinda Jones; and his fur friends, Chevelle and Swift.

He was preceded in death by his parents; stepmother, Lee Vanberg; and father-in-law, Mike Jones.

A celebration of life will be held from 12 p.m. to 3 p.m. on Sunday, October 19, 2025, at the Leo C. Peterson American Legion Post #54 in Red Wing. The family encourages attendees to wear Harley-Davidson shirts.
