Larry Howard Bremer, 67, of Lake City, died peacefully with his children by his side on Thursday August 11, 2022. at Edenbrook Health Care Facility due to long term complications of pancreatitis. He was born in Lake City on January 27, 1955 to Willard and LaDora (Boley) Bremer. He graduated from Lincoln High School in 1973. He attended the Winona Vocational and Technical College where he received a degree in small engine repair. He married Jean (Stokes) Holmes and from this union, two children were born, Jeremy and Johanna. They later divorced. He worked for Greenline Implement for many years, along with custom combining. He also worked for Independent Grain and Feed in Lake City and JG Dill Company Mill in Wabasha. He had a strong faith and was a member of Valley View Assembly of God. He enjoyed riding motorcycle and snowmobiling, and was a member of the Righteous Riders Motorcycle Group and the Cliff and Coulee Climbers Snowmobile Club. He found joy in hunting and fishing, along with playing volleyball and softball. What he enjoyed most was spending time with his grandchildren and attending all their events.
He is survived by two children, Jeremy (Holly) Bremer of Zumbro Falls and Johanna (Steevenson) Jean of Lake City; four grandchildren, Drew and Cody Bremer and Alaiyna and Julia Weinzierl; mother, LaDora Bremer of Lake City; eight siblings, Sandy Bremer of Nerstrand, James (Donna) Bremer of Elk River, Sue Conant of Byron, Ron (Carla) Bremer of Lubbock, TX, Martha (Paul) Meyer of Wabasha, Tom Bremer of Lake City, Debra (Mark) Grimley Bremer of Lake City, and Monica (Jerry) Lehnartz of Kellogg; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father, Willard and nephew, Jesse Conant.
Celebration of Life will be at 4 p.m. on Friday, August 19, 2022 at the Valley View Assembly of God with Pastor Orin Sandberg officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church. Burial will be at a later date at St. John’s Lutheran Cemetery in Lake City.
