Leonard “Lenny” J. Ulbrich, 77, passed away peacefully September 3, 2026, surrounded in love.
Leonard “Lenny” Joseph was born October 22, 1948, in Hastings, MN to Arthur and Elizabeth (Johnson) Ulbrich. He graduated From Hastings High School, Hastings, MN. He served in the US Army from 1968-1970, in Schweinfurt, Germany and was honorably discharged. On October 24, 1970, he married Louise E. Kells. They lived in Hastings, MN. He was employed by Con Agra flour mill as machine tender for 25 years. Some of his pass time was spent collecting coins, listening and playing from his record collection as well as hunting and fishing.
He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Louise; daughters, Melissa and Shelly (Jason); six grandchildren, Blake, Madison, Owen, Claire, Caden and Griffin; siblings, Rita Plantin, Patricia (Jim) Kane, Robert (Janet) Ulbrich, Linda (Steve) Black; and many loved nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents; his brother, Kenneth; and an infant brother, Richard.
Our family would like to give a heartfelt thank you to Lake City Care Center staff and St. Croix Hospice.
A private graveside service has been planned for a future date.
