Linda Kay Konkel

Linda K. (Erickson) Konkel , 71, passed away in her home peacefully, on Friday May 20th surrounded by her husband and all of her children.
Linda was born on March 16th, 1951 in Winona, Minnesota to Leonard and Dena Erickson. Linda loved her parents so much, as well as all her siblings. Linda always had a smile on her face and was friendly to anyone she crossed paths with. Most of Linda's adult life she had been a foster care provider for adults and on her spare time, Linda enjoyed playing games at the casino. Linda enjoyed and loved her family more than anything. Linda took such pride in her beautiful grandchildren and great-grandchildren as they all loved and adored her. As Linda was known as "Nanny" to her grandchildren. Linda was a beautiful masterpiece who had such strong faith in the Lord. Linda’s beautiful smile, her amazing kind heart and all of her positive kind words will be beyond missed by so many, as we all love and adore Linda very much.
Linda is survived by the love of her life, her husband whom she was married to for 32 years, Brian Konkel, her four children Cynthia Chamley of Rochester, David Brommerich, jr (Victoria) of Winona, Jason Brommerich (Melissa) of Hastings and Stacy Weston of Rochester. 16 grandchildren and 8 grandchildren.
Linda is welcomed in heaven by her parents, her siblings as well as her niece Jackie.
We would like to recognize Highpoint Church (Pastor Shaun and wife Pastor Amy) as Linda put a lot of time into her faith. The Konkel family would also like to thank Mayo Hospice for their compassionate care that was given to Linda.
A celebration of life will be held at High Point Church (4545 N Frontage Rd, Rochester, MN) at 2:00pm on May 29th 2022. Please also join Linda’s loved ones for 11:00am service and lunch before returning back to the church at 2:00pm.
