Linda Kay Lemmerman

Linda Kay Lemmerman, 78, passed away on September 28, 2026 surrounded by family at the MCHS-Lake City Nursing Home after an eight-year battle with Parkinson's disease and other related complications. Linda was born on September 17, 1948 to Norman and Ann (Russell) Siewert of Lake City, MN.

Linda was baptized and confirmed at St. John's Lutheran Church in Lake City, Minnesota. She attended grade school at Oak Center Parochial School in Lake City and graduated from Lincoln High School in Lake City, Minnesota in 1966.

On February 18, 1967, she married Thomas (Tom) Lemmerman of Mazeppa, Minnesota. Together, they were blessed with four children. After Tom returned home from serving in the Army during the Vietnam War, they settled in Mazeppa, where they later took over the family farm and worked it together. Linda also worked off the farm at several local facilities, including Zumbrota Nursing Home and Pine Haven Nursing Home. She spent 25 years working as a paraprofessional at Zumbrota-Mazeppa Schools, where she formed many lasting connections with students, families, and colleagues.

She loved puzzles, baking, listening to music, tending to her garden, admiring flowers, and playing cards with friends, always enjoying the laughter and shenanigans that came along with it. Her faith and her church were very important parts of her life. Mazeppa Daze was one of her favorite traditions, and she proudly organized the Field of Flags for many years. Above all, she cherished time spent with her grandchildren and loved attending their sporting events. She was always their proudest supporter, cheering them on from the sidelines, and treasuring the many special memories they made together.

She will be missed by many, including her husband, Tom; four children, Todd Lemmerman, Cory Lemmerman, Jody (Tim) Wagner-True , and Jamie (Jay) Rechtzigel; nine grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and two brothers, Jay (Mary) Siewert, and Thomas (Judy) Siewert.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Norman (Tubby) and Ann Siewert, and her sister, Cheryl (Chere).

A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, October 3, 2026 at 11 am at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Lake City with Rev. Daniel Reich officiating. Visitation will be held on Friday, October 2, 2026 from 4 to 7 pm at the Mahn Family Funeral Home, Anderson- Peterson Chapel in Lake City and at the church 1 hour before the service.
