Lisa Henes -Schulz, 61, of Lake City, passed away on Tuesday, December 23, 2025 at her home in Lake City, from frontotemporal dementia.
Lisa was born on September 13, 1964 in St. Paul, MN to Donald Henes & Diane Dube. She grew up in Duluth MN and moved to Williston ND where she graduated in 1982. She attended St. Scholastica in Duluth and graduated with a degree in Health Management. She moved to the Twin Cities and worked for an insurance company where she meet her husband, Nathan Schulz. They married October 17, 1992 in Goodhue. They moved to Cottage Grove in 1993 and in 1999 they moved to Lake City. Lisa enjoyed being on the Lake, playing games and attending her children’s activities. She loved music, particularly Journey and ACDC. Lisa enjoyed Harry Potter, mobster movies, and crime tv shows. Lisa absolutely loved her short get aways like MEA vacations with her family. She was an active member of St. John’s Lutheran Church.
Lisa is survived by her husband, Nathan; her 3 sons, Connor (Emily Ziebell) of Farmington, Gabriel (Elizabeth) of Lake City, Benjamin of Nashville, TN; 2 grandchildren, Juliette, Hudson; sister, Wendy Henes of North St. Paul; father, Donald Henes of Williston ND; mother-in-law, Ronnelle Schulz of Goodhue.
She is preceded in death by her mother; Diane Dube; father-in-law, Frederick (Fritz) Schulz.
A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, January 10, 2026 at 11 am at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Lake City. Reverend David Peters officiating. Visitation will be held at Mahn Family Funeral Home, Anderson-Peterson Chapel on Friday January 9th from 4 to 7 PM, and at the church 1 hour before the service. Burial will at St. John’s Lutheran Cemetery in Lake City. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to St. John’s School, St. John Lunch Program, Mayo Hospice and Lake City Lions Club.
