Lynn Pitt

Lynn Marie Pitt, 77 of Plainview, Minnesota passed away on Friday July 12, 2024 at Madonna Towers in Rochester, Minnesota.

Lynn was born on November 4th, 1946, to Clarence and Bette (Giese) Pitt in Eau Claire, Wisconsin.

After graduating from North High School in 1965, Lynn pursued accounting at Chippewa Valley Technical College in Eau Claire, WI. Following her graduation, she managed several retail stores before working for America Prize in Minneapolis, where she operated their printing press for 26 years until her retirement. After her retirement, she moved to Plainview, Minnesota to be closer to family.

Lynn spent most of her adult years in Minneapolis, where she enjoyed taking the city bus to different shopping centers, zoos, and restaurants. She also loved attending live concerts and ice figure skating competitions. Lynn had a great love for animals, especially cats. She enjoyed shopping, playing cards, visiting with friends, listening to music, and driving so she could explore new places. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. Lynn had a big heart and she was very generous with her time, always trying to help others when they were in need. Lynn's great sense of humor and laugh will be greatly missed.

Lynn was preceded in death by her father, Clarence Pitt, and her mother, Bette (Giese) Pitt, of Eau Claire, WI. She is survived by her sister, Debra Pitt, two nieces, Windy (Matthew) Taylor and Sheena Matz, and one great-niece, Isabelle Taylor, as well as two great-nephews, Austin McMahon and Michael Taylor.

A private Mass was held on Tuesday July 16th at Holy Angles Novitiate in Winona, MN. Lynn was laid to rest at Rest Haven Cemetery in Eau Claire, WI.  For those desiring to send sympathy cards, please direct mailings to Mahn Family Funeral Home at 1624 37th Street NW in Rochester, Minnesota 55901.
