Marion Crosby

Marion L. Crosby age 87 of Zumbrota died on Friday morning, May 26, 2006 at her home in Zumbrota. Funeral services are scheduled for Wednesday, May 31 at 2:00 P.M. at Christ Lutheran Church in Zumbrota with Reverend Wayne Schoch officiating. Burial will be in Zumbrota Cemetery. Visitation is scheduled for Tuesday, May 30, 2006 from 4:00 ? 7:00 P.M. at the Mahn Family Funeral Home ? Larson Chapel in Zumbrota and on Wednesday one hour prior to the service at the church. Marion Lilly Mehrkens was born on January 10, 1919 in Minneola Township, Goodhue Co., MN to John and Mary (nee Brunckhorst) Mehrkens. She grew up on the family farm and attended country school. Marion worked the farm because her mother died at a young age and her father went blind. On April 20, 1968 she married Kenneth J. Crosby at Christ Lutheran Church in Zumbrota. Marion was a homemaker and worked in housekeeping at the Zumbrota Nursing Home for eleven years, retiring in 1984. She was a member of Christ Lutheran Church and enjoyed gardening and canning. Marion is survived by her husband Kenneth. She was preceded in death by her parents, Mary and John and her brother, Edward. The family suggests memorials to Christ Lutheran Church.
