A private memorial service is being planned at Bethel Lutheran Church in Rochester for Mark Snesrud. Mr. Snesrud, 42, of Rochester, died Friday January 6, 2012 at Rochester Methodist Hospital following an eight year battle with multiple myeloma.
Mark Edward Snesrud was born August 16, 1969 in Rochester, the son of Myron and Suzanne Snesrud. He lived his childhood in Rochester before moving to North Carolina. He was a graduate of the North Carolina School of Science and Math in Durham, North Carolina. He received a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering at Duke University, and then earned his master's degree at North Carolina State University. He moved to California, and began a career in computer engineering. Due to health concerns, he recently returned to reside in Rochester.
He is survived by his parents, Myron and Suzanne Snesrud of Rochester; three sisters, Ann (David) Haun, Tina (Charlie Maidl) Snesrud, and and Stacy (Gene) Dierauer, all of Rochester; a nephew, Matthew Haun; and two nieces, Taylor Haun, and Katie Dierauer.
