Marlene F Banitt

Marlene F Banitt, 80, passed away on Thursday, December 23, 2023 at the Mayo Clinic in Austin, MN.

Marlene was born on February 28, 1943 in Spring Grove, MN to Andrew & Alvia Stamer.  She married Kenneth Lundtvedt on September 16, 1958 and they had 26 years together before he passed away. After Marlene married Kenneth, they lived and farmed in Waukon, IA and Winona, MN. She also worked at St. Ann’s in Winona. Marlene later married Marvin Banitt who passed away in 2004. Marlene loved to travel, camping, and fishing with Marvin. Marlene moved to Albert Lee and has lived there for the past 18 years with her special friend Gary Koziolek. Most of all Marlene loved spending time with her family.

Marlene is survived by her daughters, Donna (Kelly) Hendricks, Joyce (Mike) Swanson; son-in-law, Rick (Vicki) Darling; 7 grandchildren, Shauna (Nick) Young, Alicia (Mitch) Harris, Alec Gilbertson, Adam (Kaela) Darling, Jordan (Jason) Knoke, Jamie (Zach) Alexander, Brady Darling; step grandchildren, Kelly Hendricks Jr., Jennifer Hendricks-Werth; 12 great grandchildren; her special friend Gary Koziolek.

She is preceded in death by her husbands, Kenneth Lundtvedt, and Marvin Banitt; her parents; her daughter, Shirley Darling; her brother, Merle Stamer; step sister, Ramona Peterson, 2 infant grandchildren, Isaac & Gabriel.

A Funeral Service will be held Thursday, December 28, 2023 at 11am at Mahn Family Funeral Home, Anderson-Peterson Chaple in Lake City. Visitation will be one hour before the service.
