Marlyn "Lex" Leonard Lexvold

Marlyn "Lex" Leonard Lexvold, 97, died Wednesday, August 12, 2026 at Elysian Fields of Red Wing, Minnesota. Marlyn was born on May 8, 1929 in Red Wing, Minnesota to Leonard and Edna (Knutson) Lexvold. He graduated from Goodhue High School in 1948.

Marlyn served in the National Guard from 1951-1952. He worked as a mechanic on ground equipment for airlines, including for Braniff Airlines from 1964-1982 and Aspen Airways from 1983-1990, until his retirement. Marlyn was a devoted Catholic and attended Mass regularly no matter where he was. In his free time, he enjoyed gardening and landscaping. He also was a jack-of-all-trades and a tinkerer who enjoyed projects, building things, and working on cars.

Marlyn is survived by his children, Brenda (Phil) Stevens of Red Wing, Minnesota, Debbie (Ken) Lange of Parker, Colorado, and Mark Lexvold of Lake City, Minnesota; six grandchildren, Kristi (Kyle), Jodi (Kyle), Jeff, Kari (Justin), Katie (Michael), and Emily (Jordan); and six great-grandchildren, Jordin, Veda, Skye, Karsen, Ozzie, and Lainey. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Barbara; wife, Lorraine; sister, Arlene Logan; and his parents, Leonard and Edna.

Mass of Resurrection will be 11:00 a.m. on Friday, August 28, 2026 at the Church of St. Joseph with Father Jose Cortes officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to mass from 10:00 - 11:00 a.m. at the church. Entombment will take place at Calvary Cemetery in Red Wing, Minnesota. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Mahn Family Funeral Home, Bodelson-Mahn Chapel in Red Wing.
