Marvin Eugene Glad

Marvin Eugene Glad, 77, of Welch, passed away peacefully Monday, January 29, 2024 at his home.  He was born September 9, 1946, in Red Wing, to Conrad and Nellie (Caudill) Glad. He graduated from Red Wing Central High School in 1964.  He married Bonnie Lichtblau on August 30, 1973 in Brookings, South Dakota.

Marvin worked as a car salesman in Red Wing for over 45 years, retiring in 2008.  He enjoyed doing lawn care, playing with gadgets, watching the Home Shopping Network as well as comedies and action movies.  His favorite thing was spending time with his family.

He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Bonnie Glad; children, Scott Glad, Gina Rogers, Angie (Larry) Glad and Jason (Shannon) Glad; grandchildren, Austin, Hannah, Sidney, Cody, Kyle, Kristina and Chryshell; brother, Roger (Susan) Glad and nephews and niece, Chip, Kris and Heather.  He was preceded in death by his parents; a niece, Jessica and his favorite dog, Chance.

Funeral service will be 11 a.m. Tuesday, February 6, 2024 at Cross of Christ Lutheran Church, Welch.  Visitation will be Monday, February 5, from 4-7 p.m. at Mahn Family Funeral Home, Bodelson-Mahn Chapel and for one hour prior to the service at the church.  Burial will be at Burnside Cemetery.
