Mary Reding

Mary Ellen Reding, 85, of Zumbrota, passed away on January 17th 2024.

She was born March 14, 1938 in Wabasha County to Hazel Van Houten.

She attended grades one and two at a country school in Theilman, MN then moved to Hager city WI. for grades three through eight and graduated from Zumbrota High School in 1956.

She married Cyrus A. Reding at St Mary's Catholic Church in Bellechester on January 24,1959 where she lived the rest of her life. He passed away on June 1, 2006. She was preceded by her husband of 47 years; her mother, Hazel; stepfather, Donald; sisters, Lori, Kay and Donna; brother, Robert; brothers – in – law, Jim Gallagher and Rick Reding; sister – in – law, Bonnie.

She is survived by her five children, Jeffrey (Kim) of Lakeville, Mark (Mary) of Goodhue, Randall of Goodhue, Paul of Bellechester and Jodi of Goodhue; four brothers, Charles (Rosmary) of Oronoco, Richard of Danbury, WI. James (Cindy) of Zumbrota, William (Bernita) of Mantorville; three sisters, Susan (Conrad) of Eyota, Patricia of Danbury and Barbara (Dan) of Glencoe; seven grandchildren and four great – grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

A memorial Mass will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, January 23, 2024 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Bellechester with one hour of visitation prior.

Visitation will be held from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Monday, January 22, 2024 at Mahn Family Funeral Home – Larson Chapel.
