Matthew Connor Morales

Matthew Connor Morales, 4-week-old infant son of Alexandrya and Cesar Morales of Lake City died on Friday, September 15, 2023 at Mayo Health System, St. Marys Campus.  Matthew was born on August 18, 2023, in Red Wing.  During this brief time, he brought great joy and he received many hugs, kisses and cuddling from his mom and dad. He enjoyed the white sounds to fall asleep, any movement and motions, had a keen ear to what his brother, Melvin would say and smirk when Madalyn would call him the “prince of cuteness”

Matthew is survived by his loving parents, Alex and Cesar; sister, Madalyn; brother, Melvin; maternal grandparents, Beverly and Bob Bach; paternal grandmother, Marta Garcia de Morales, maternal great grandparents, Melvin and Donna Shilts along with many aunts, uncles and cousins.  He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Jose Octavio Humberto Morales.

Funeral service will be 11 a.m. Thursday, September 21, 2023, at the Mahn Family Funeral Home, Bodelson-Mahn Chapel in Red Wing.  Burial will be at the Bay City Cemetery.  Visitation will be from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday, September 20, 2023, at the funeral home and for one hour prior to the service.
