ROCHESTER ? A memorial service for Max E. Majorowicz will be 1:00 p.m. Thursday at Mahn Family Funeral Home ? Rochester Chapel with the Rev. Roland Walkes officiating. Burial will be in Grandview Memorial Gardens with Military Honors by the Wm. T. McCoy Post #92 of the American Legion. Mr. Majorowicz, 82, of Rochester, died Saturday (May 27, 2006) at his home after a brief illness with Cancer. Born Oct. 5, 1923 in Timber Lake, SD he graduated from Timber Lake High School in 1941. He worked on the family farm and on Jan. 16, 1946 he married Methal L. Long in Firesteel, SD. He served one year in the U.S. Marine Corps and was discharged in Aug. of 1946. He lived in Rapid City, SD for five years before returning to Timber Lake for three years. He was the sales manager at the Chevrolet Dealership in Winner, SD before moving to Rochester in 1959. He worked in Automotive Sales and was a longtime employee at Ace Truck and Equipment. He was a member of the Elks Lodge and the Wm. T. McCoy Post #92 of the American Legion. He enjoyed mechanics and woodworking. Survivors include his wife, two daughters Cheryl (Daniel) Cutshall of Rochester; and Sandra (John) Dailey of Reno, NV; two sons Barry (Carole) of Seattle, WA; and Mark (Vicki) of Rochester; nine grandchildren; three sisters Betty Holen of Minneapolis; Joyce (Herman) Kraft of Timber Lake; and Verda Gould of Minneapolis; and three brothers Roger (Mary) of Whitefield, ME; Walter (Rosalie) of Minneapolis; and A.K. (Jan) of Crooked River Ranch, OR. A son and sister preceded him in death. Friends may call from 5:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday at Mahn Family Funeral Home ? Rochester Chapel. Memorials are suggested to the American Cancer Society.
