Michael "Mike" David Pyle, 69, passed away suddenly surrounded by family at home in Red Wing, Minnesota. He was born on September 22, 1956 to Lester Eugene and Hazel Elleita (Alama) Pyle in Columbus, Ohio.
Mike was united in marriage to Kimberly "Kim" Jo Frank on July 7, 1995 in Minnetonka, Minnesota. Mike served in the United States Navy for 6 years and he worked for many years as a service writer for Red Wing Chevy. He was a soft spoken person and often didn't want anyone to worry about him. Mike enjoyed playing basketball with his brothers, golfing, and puzzles. He also loved watching football, and in particular the Buckeyes.
Mike is survived by his loving wife of 30 years, Kim; children, Jennie Buchmann, Christy (Matthew) Krahn, Aaron (Andrea) Buchmann, Jamie (Thomas) Hostetler, and Erica Rennie; 13 grandchildren; his siblings, Patricia (Joe) Wetmore, Ron (Judy) Pyle, and Kathy. He was preceded in death by his parents, Lester and Hazel; and his brother, Rodney Pyle.
A celebration of life will be held from 2 p.m. - 5 p.m. on Saturday, June 6, 2026 at the VFW Post 8729 in Lake City, Minnesota. Burial will take place on Friday, June 12, 2026 at 2 p.m. at Fort Snelling National Cemetery in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
