Muriel Emily Edquist

Muriel Emily Edquist, 92, of Bay City, Wisconsin, died Monday, October 13, 2025, at Plum City Care Center in Plum City, Wisconsin. She was born on November 29, 1932, in Leon Township (Cannon Falls, MN) to Richard and Kate (Felien) Moorhouse. On April 30, 1960, she was united in marriage to Donald Edquist in Red Wing. They were blessed with one daughter, Mary Edquist. Muriel worked as a waitress for Larry’s Lunch and Nybo’s Café for several years, though she took pride in being a farm wife. She was an excellent mother and loved working on the farm with her husband.

Muriel is survived by her daughter, Mary Catherine Edquist of Bay City; as well as many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Richard and Kate Moorhouse; husband, Donald Edquist; and two sisters, Florence Eberhart and Dorothy Andrews.

A private family burial will be at a later date. Memorials are preferred to the Tabor Lutheran Cemetery. Arrangements are by the Mahn Family Funeral Home, Bodelson-Mahn Chapel.
