Nancy Green

Nancy Margaret Green, 52, of Red Wing, lost her battle with cancer on Wednesday, March 22, 2006, at the Fairview Red Wing Medical Center. She was born January 13, 1954 in Red Wing to James and Carol (Norquist) Green. She grew up in Prescott, Wisconsin and graduated from Prescott High School. She had been married to Gary R. Huppert, father to Tina and Tammy and later married to Steve Carlson, father of Molly and Matt. She moved to Red Wing and began working for Citizen Security in 1976, in the underwriting department, and later moved to research and development. In 1986, she bean working for Musty Barnhart, where she earned her CIC and CISR credentials. Nancy had been an active member of the Red Wing Rotary Club, having served as vice president and then president from 2002-2003 and was also given the distinguished Paul Harris Fellowship award in 2003. She was a member of St. Paul?s Lutheran Church and the Red Wing Elk?s Lodge BPOE #845. She enjoyed spending her time in the outdoors, gardening, and knitting. She is survived by her 4 children, Tina Huppert of Ellsworth, Tammy (Chad) Hines of Ellsworth, Molly Carlson of Portland, Oregon and Matthew Carlson of Red Wing; 3 grandchildren, Drew, Olivia and Mabel Hines and one brother, Pat (Paula) Green of Ellsworth. She was preceded in death by her father, James Green and her mother, Carol Christensen and one brother, Michael Green. Funeral service will be 1:30 p.m. Saturday, March 25, at St. Paul?s Lutheran Church with the Reverend Kristen Schlauderaff officiating. Burial will be at the Prescott Cemetery at a later date. Pallbearers will be Jeff Cunningham, Bob Kubes, Ernie ?Toad? Hase, Ron Schiemann, and Nathan and Tim Green. Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Friday at the Mahn Family Funeral Home, Bodelson-Mahn Chapel and for one hour prior to the service at the church.
