Nancy Lousie Tri, 64, of Zumbrota, died Friday, November 14, 2025 at her home.
She was born, along with her twin sister, on August 12, 1961 in Newport, Rhode Island to Robert and Irene (Norton) Walters. She grew up in Danvers, Mass. and graduated from Danvers High School.
After graduation she spent some time in New Hampshire and backpacked around Japan before moving to Minnesota in 1990. On August 12, 1995 she married Roderick Tri and the couple made their home in Zumbrota.
Nancy was warm and outgoing. She never met a stranger and she was always willing to lend a hand. She enjoyed traveling, spending time on the water, and hiking. She was artistic and enjoyed photography and drawing. She loved her cats and tending her flowers. Most of all, she loved being a mother and raising her children on the farm. She even turned out to be a pretty good tractor driver.
She will be missed by many, including her husband, Rick of Zumbrota; son, Zachary (Mae) James of Kenyon; daughter, Catherine (Jacob Haas) Tri of Rochester; 2 grandchildren; sisters, Jeanne Coleman, her twin and Mary Faulkner, both of Milford, New Hampshire; as well as many nieces and nephews
She is preceded in death by; her nephew, Derek Lankowski; 3 brothers, Richard, Mark, and Robert Walters; brothers-in-law, John Coleman and John Faulkner; and her parents.
A Mass of Resurrection will be 11 a.m., Saturday, November 22, 2025 at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Mazeppa, Minn. Visitation will be 3-6 p.m., Friday, November 21, 2025 at the Mahn Family Funeral Home, Larson Chapel, Zumbrota and one hour prior to the service at church.
