Diamond Bluff

Nanette Marie Kearns, 67, of Diamond Bluff, Wisconsin, died Thursday, April 18, 2024, at her home, surrounded by her family.  She was born December 8, 1956, in Hastings, MN to Leo and Carol (Stoltzheim) Swanson.   She grew up in the Diamond Bluff area and attended high school in Hastings.  She married Raymond Rother and they had two children, Chris and Jessica; they later divorced.  She married Tim Kearns on November 15, 1991, and they made their home in Diamond Bluff.   Nanette worked at Smead’s in Hastings for 33 years until her retirement, after which she was able to watch and care for her grandchildren, something she truly enjoyed.  Being with her family was most important to Nanette, and they took many family vacations and camping trips together and were often planning    weekend outings and events to enjoy.   She loved to help others and was always willing to go above and beyond.  

She is survived by her husband, Tim Kearns of Diamond Bluff; 2 children, Chris Rother of Hager City and Jessica (Kyle) Warner of Spring Valley; a niece, Roxie Swanson; grandchildren, Kayden and Jason and Brekken, Chase, Lilly, Emma and Delilah; 5 siblings, Susie Patraw, Shirley Soggiono, Charlotte Swanson, Leo (Karen) Swanson and Gail Swanson; step-mother, Donna Barr; half-brother, Jimmy Swanson and step-siblings, Tammy (Mark) Worthey, Teresa (Mike) Kohlnhofer and Steve (Judy) Yarrington and many other nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents and 2 sisters, Paulie Swanson and Patty Leapean.

A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, April 27, 2024 at Mahn Family Funeral Home, Bodelson-Mahn Chapel with a visitation one hour prior.  Burial will take place at the Diamond Bluff Cemetery and a celebration of life will continue at the Diamond Bluff Community Hall.  Online condolences may be left for the family at www.mahnfamilyfuneralhome.com
