Patricia Anna Tackmann, 87, from Lake City, MN, passed away peacefully at her home October 13, 2019. She was born July 17, 1932, in Lake City to Harry and Hilda (Wohlwend) Brostrom. She graduated from Lincoln High School in 1950 and married Zenos Tackmann February 2, 1952. With this union they raised 6 children: Dave, Jim, Paul, Dan, Mary, and Ruth. Her entire life was spent in Lake City, except for a brief time in Florida when Zenos was in the Marines. Pat provided bookkeeping for Tackmann Sheet Metal (Heating & Cooling) until her husband's retirement.
Pat was an active member of First Lutheran Church her entire life where she was baptized, confirmed, and married. She looked forward to weekly bible study, quilting (for the church as well as her grandchildren), greeting visitors and reached out to everyone, especially newcomers, and recently helped plan for the church's 150th anniversary celebration. In addition, she was in the church choir, taught Sunday school, and she and her husband served as janitors at the original First Lutheran Church location (across the street from their home). She loved spending time with her family, preparing meals and baking family favorites, as well as attending her children's, grandchildren's, and great-grandchildren's activities. She was always willing to take on a sewing, mending, or knitting project for her family and the church. She was a loving, kind, patient woman who was always concerned about others and wanted to help those in need.
She is survived by her children David Tackmann (Deborah), Eau Claire, WI; James Tackmann (Patricia), Rochester, MN; Paul Tackmann (Patti), Lake City, MN; Daniel Tackmann (Lori), Waconia, MN; Mary Tackmann, Budd Lake, NJ; Ruth Hutchinson, Lake City, MN; 17 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; sister Harriet Agrimson, Richmond, MN; brother Richard (Doreen) Brostrom, Thoreau, NM.
