Paul Haas

November 25, 1949 — June 15, 2025

Pine Island

Paul Michael Haas, 75, of Pine Island, MN, passed away on June 15, 2025, after a short battle with cancer.

Paul was born on November 25, 1949, in Minneapolis, MN, to Dorothy (Butler) and Jack Haas. He graduated from St. Louis Park High School (1967) and went on to attend Bemidji State University. On July 20, 1974, he married the love of his life, Christina "Chrissy" Suzzanna Haas (Lindeman).

Paul retired from IBM, where he worked proudly as a Financial Analyst. He was best known for his sense of humor and quick wit-often delivered just slightly outside the bounds of propriety, to the delight of many. Throughout his life, he formed lasting friendships, but his greatest pride and joy was his family.

Paul and Chrissy raised their daughters, Heather (Mark) Mullane and Kim Bjugan, on a small hobby farm in Pine Island. He was a beloved grandfather to Bailey Bjugan (25), Olivia Mullane (14), and Jasper Goetsch (7). He is also survived by his sister, Barbara Koffron.

Paul had a deep love for the outdoors and a lifelong passion for fishing, camping, hunting, and working with the many dogs that accompanied him along the way. He enjoyed restoring tractors and always found something to keep him busy on his property.

In retirement, Paul gave back to his community as a dedicated member of the Pine Island Lions Club.

He is preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Sally Haas.

A memorial service will be held at a later date. Online condolences may be left for the family at www.mahnfamilyfuneralhome.com. Arrangements by the Mahn Family Funeral Home, Mahler Chapel in Pine Island.
