Ralph A. Register

Ralph Arthur Register, 81, of Red Wing, died Friday, October 17, 2025, at his home, surrounded by his family. He was born May 3, 1944, in Austin, Minnesota, to John and Amy (Kately) Register. He graduated from Austin Central High School, class of 1962, and went on to attend Mankato State University, where he received his Bachelor of Science in Biology and Teaching and received his Master’s Degree in Biology, Teaching and Chemistry from Winona State. Ralph married Sheri Lochner in 1967 and the two made their home in Red Wing, where they raised their family. Ralph taught Biology and Advanced Biology at Red Wing Central High School for 33 years, retiring in 2000. He was a hard-working, intelligent and quiet man who enjoyed tending to his garden, his orchard and his tree farm and he always enjoyed playing a game of tennis. After retirement, he and Sheri spent their winters in the warmth of the southern United States, until buying their own winter home in Sahuarita, Arizona, where they have spent the past 8 years.

He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Sheri; daughter, Rachelle Register; son, Brett Register; grandson, Samuel (Petra Telinger) Register and brother, Arnold (Ann) Register. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, John Register, Jr.
