Randy Norman Anderson, age 72, of Diamond Bluff died suddenly outside his home on October 29, 2025. Born February 10, 1953 to Dorothy and Norman Anderson in Plum City, Wisconsin. He grew up in St. Paul, but spent much of his childhood near Lund at the family farm with his parents and brother. On October 11, 1975 he married Joan (Baker) Anderson. They raised two sons. Randy spent most of his life working as he loved to do. He drove truck over the road, operated heavy equipment, drove over the road again, then retired, then went back to driving truck, and finally officially retired a few years ago.
Randy enjoyed time in his shop tinkering on trucks, Wheel Horse tractors, and just about any other project he could come up with. He enjoyed his summers camping at Mac’s Park Place with all his friends. Randy loved spending time with his sons and grandkids. He was passionate about helping out animal shelters and rescues by collecting cans and donating the funds to them.
He will be missed by so many, as he was a good guy with a big heart. Randy would strike up conversations with just about anyone he came across. If you needed help with something, even if you did not know it, he was the first to lend a hand.
The day all of his family and friends spent shedding tears of sadness, Randy was crying tears of joy standing at that rainbow bridge with all his beloved pets… Pepper, LC, Opi to name just a few.
Randy is survived by his wife of 50 years, Joan Anderson; Sons, Rich (Kerri) Anderson and Chad (Nicki) Anderson, Grandchildren, Savannah, Tobey and Avrey; as well as many nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Dorothy and Norman Anderson and by his brother Gary Anderson.
A visitation will be Saturday, November 15, 2025 from 1-3pm at the Mahn Family Funeral Home, Bodelson-Mahn Chapel, in Red Wing.
