Robert "Bob" Wiley Bixby was born November 9th, 1949 in Elmhurst Illinois to John Nelson Bixby and Gloria Ann Bixby. Bob died February 15th, 2025 at St. Crispin's in Red Wing, MN. Bob died due to complications resulting from Parkinson’s Disease, which he had bravely struggled with for over four decades.
Bob was preceded in death by both of his parents and is survived by two brothers, John "Jack” Bixby of Brattleboro, Vermont and Howard Bixby of Verona Wisconsin. Bob is also survived by nieces, Kathryn Bixby, Martha Lamar, and Mary Bixby , all from the Madison, WI area, Sarah Bixby from Wellesley, MA and a Nephew, Phillip Bixby from Falmouth, ME. He also has great nieces and great nephews
Anyone that knew Bob knew a friend. He was a meticulous carpenter which was his lifelong calling. His love of nature, film, and music was passed to his friends, nieces, and nephews. A spiritual burial will be held on Thursday, April 24th, at 2 PM at Oakwood Cemetery in Red Wing. A tribute to life will be held at St. Crispin's community room at 2 PM on Saturday April 26, 2025.
