Robert “Bob” Paul Ritzman, 81, of Red Wing, died peacefully on Tuesday, April 28, 2026, at Mayo Clinic Health Systems, Methodist Campus. He was born on February 27, 1945, in Plum City Wisconsin to Donald and Delia (Knapp) Ritzman. He graduated from Arkansaw High School in 1963. For a few years he farmed in the Durand and Arkansaw area before entering the US Army serving from 1965-1968 during the Vietnam Era. Following his discharge, he returned back home and farmed. He started working for Archer Daniels Midland in Red Wing a career that spanned for 39 years retiring in 2012. On October 20, 1973, he was united in marriage to Marcia Glaus at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Pepin. They were blessed with two children, Melissa and Donald. They lived in Bay City and Red Wing for many years before moving to Mission, TX. in 2012. They returned to Red Wing in 2022.
Bob was a member of the Burnson Lillyblad VFW Post #1218. Following retirement, he enjoyed watching the Packers and always looked forward to getting together for coffee with his friends. Most of all he enjoyed the company of his family and doing crossword puzzles.
Bob is survived by his loving wife of 52 years; Marcia; one daughter, Melissa Ritzman (Zach Gadient) of Red Wing and one son, Donald Ritzman of San Antonio; three grandchildren, Breanna Ritzman, Corey Thompson and Isaiah Ritzman; one great grandson, BentLee Anderson along with several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters, Ruby Webb and Etta Falls.
A visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday, May 2, 2026, at the Mahn Family Funeral Home, Bodelson-Mahn Chapel. A celebration of life will follow at the 9th floor of the Downtown Plaza. A private family burial will be at a later date at the Bay City Cemetery.
