Rockie Gene Mewhorter

Rockie Mewhorter, 71, of Red Wing, died Sunday, December 25, 2022 surrounded by family.  He was born June 19, 1951 in Red Wing, Minnesota to Luverne and Shirley (Hall) Mewhorter.  He lived and worked on his farm for over 50 years. Rockie also worked at 3M for many years until his retirement. He loved hunting, fishing, gardening, cooking, canning, and antiquing. Rockie was an outdoorsman and loved animals. He also enjoyed spending time with his family and sharing fond memories.

Rockie is survived by his sons, Klete (Donielle) Mewhorter and Cole Mewhorter; his daughters, Amanda (Bradley) Nelson and Kristen (Jusdon) Jones; 15 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; his sister, Ava (Gary) Knutson; and 2 nieces.  He was preceded in death by his parents.

A celebration of life will be held by the family at the Izaak Walton on Sunday, January 8th, 2023 from 2-6pm. Please join us in celebrating Rockie's life. Food and drink will be provided.
