Rodger Barghusen

Rodger Barghusen, age 80, of Lake City, died Wednesday, February 22, 2006 at the Lake City Nursing Home. Rodger was born February 14, 1926 in Gillford Township in Wabasha County to Reno & Katherine (Stapel) Barghusen. He married Betty Deede September 2, 1950 at Bethany Lutheran Church in Lake City, she passed away in a car accident in 1965. He then married Gloria Holst March 11, 1967 at St. John?s Lutheran Church in Goodhue, They lived in the Lake City area. Rodger was a bulk milk hauler for 40 years until retiring in 1988. Gloria died in 1994. He was a member of Bethany Lutheran Church in Lake City. He enjoyed fishing and hunting. He is survived by one son Dale (Janet) of Lake City; two grandsons Joshua (Danielle) Hagedorn and Justin Barghusen; two great grandchildren Carter & Kalynn; two sisters Willa (Don) Gruhlke of Mazeppa, Dorothy (Vernon) Kohn of Red Wing. He was preceded in death by his spouses Betty and Gloria, and one foster brother Fritz Loth. Funeral Services will be held Monday, February 27, 2006 at 11:00 a.m. at Bethany Lutheran Church in Lake City with the Reverend Bruce Stam officiating. Burial will be in Bethany Cemetery in Lake City. Visitation will be Sunday from 3 to 5 at the Mahn Family Funeral Home Anderson-Peterson Chapel Lake City. Friends may also call one hour before the services at the church.
