Rodney Earl Meier, 92, of Bay City, died Monday, November 3, 2025, at Southview Acres in West St. Paul where he had resided for a short time. He was born on September 16, 1933, in Prescott, WI to Earl and Alice (Flynn) Meier. He attended schools in Prescott and then served in the US Army from 1956-1958. On September 13, 1957, he was united in marriage to Geraldine Foster and they resided in Bay City. For 42 years he worked for ADM in Red Wing. He was a former member of the St. John’s Lutheran Church in Oak Grove Township. Rodney like to spend time with his family, especially his two grandsons and great grandchildren and he liked to ride his 1944 Harley Davidson years ago. He also enjoyed the outdoors and working and tending to things on his hobby farm that he had near Bay City.
Rodney is survived by his daughter, Penny Meier; two grandchildren, Tony Tri and Jamie Tri; seven great grandchildren and three great great grandchildren along with nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife Geraldine on September 10, 2025, and two sisters, Genevieve Hadler and Corrine Albers.
A graveside service will be 10 a.m. Friday, November 7, 2025, at the Bay City Cemetery. Arrangements are by the Mahn Family Funeral Home, Bodelson-Mahn Chapel.
