Roland "Ronnie" James Edgington III

Roland "Ronnie" James Edgington III, 46, passed away on May 2, 2026, at Saint Mary’s Hospital in Rochester, Minnesota. Known affectionately as "Ronnie" by his family or "Ron" by his friends, he was born on March 18, 1980, in Red Wing, Minnesota.

Ronnie was the son of Roland Edgington and the late Margie Butler. He was a man who truly valued the people in his life and was known for the unique connections he shared with everyone—whether they called him a father, a partner, or a friend.

To know Ronnie was to know laughter. He was an incredibly funny man who was always making people laugh, no matter the situation. He possessed a naturally uplifting spirit and was a joy to be around; his ability to brighten any room will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

He is survived by his partner, Leena LeTexier; his father, Roland (Sue) Edgington; his stepfather, Jake Butler; his children, Jacob and Julia Edgington; and his cherished grandson, Camden.

He also leaves behind his siblings, Steven Bruley, Marlys Bruley, and Mary (Duane) Anderson; and his step-siblings, Barb, Brian, Bradley, and Mark Butler. His memory will also be carried on by his nieces, Crystal, Emma, Jackie, Jerica, Chloe, Bella, April, and Olivia; his nephews, Nick, Jeremy, and Jacob; his great-niece, Octavia and Kloe; and his great-nephews, Henrik, Stetson, Garret, Hunter and Ethan; as well as many friends who became like family over the years.

Ronnie was preceded in death by his mother, Margie Butler; his stepbrothers, Michael and Mitchell Butler; and his grandmother, Henrietta Kohn.
