Sandra Elizabeth Lohman

Sandra Elizabeth Lohman, 89, of Zumbrota, MN, passed away Sunday, July 26, 2026, at Fairview Southdale Hospital in Edina, MN.

Sandra was born November 24, 1936, in Chicago, IL, to Gust and Helen (Johnson) Erickson. Sandra graduated from the University of Minnesota with a degree in Elementary Education in 1957. She married James Lohman June 29, 1957 at the Church of Good Sheppard in Edina. They moved to Zumbrota in 1958 and Sandra taught school in Goodhue for a short time. Sandra took a break from teaching while she stayed home with her children. Sandra then went back to teaching at Zumbrota Mazeppa until retiring in 1996. She enjoyed quilting, sewing, sailing, traveling and camping but most of all spending time at “Her Cabin on Wabedo Lake in MN”.

Sandra is survived by her husband, James; two sons, Scott (Jessie) Lohman of Minneapolis, MN, and Jon (Cate Boyko) Lohman of Bloomington, MN; 2 grandchildren, Grant Lohman and Nico (Sydney) Lohman. She was preceded in death by her son, Michael and a sister, Karen Adam.

A Funeral Service will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, August 1, 2026 at United Redeeming Lutheran Church in Zumbrota with Pastor Jessica Bakken Busch officiating. Visitation one hour prior to service, Burial will follow at Zumbrota Cemetery. Online condolences may be placed at www.mahnfamilyfuneral.com.
