Sandra Jean (Wood) Morseth

Sandra Jean Morseth, 76, of Zumbrota, passed away Saturday, September 9, 2023, at home surrounded by family.  Determined not to let Joe down, Sandy will rest in peace knowing that she accomplished her goal of celebrating her and her loved ones’ 60th wedding anniversary.

Sandra was born December 5, 1946, in Red Wing, MN to Floyd and Leona (Pomeroy) Wood.  Sandra was united in marriage to Joe Morseth on September 7, 1963, in Red Wing, MN.

Sandy loved going to the casino, but the most important thing to her was her family.  Sandy was very kindhearted and would never turn anyone away.  She also enjoyed baking, playing cards, and she even played the accordion.  Sandy was actively involved in her kids and grandkids lives on their hobby farm in Zumbrota.

Sandra is survived by her husband, Joseph; three children, Wanda Hall of Zumbro Falls, John (Corinne) Morseth of Zumbrota, Lisa (Galen) Warnke of Zumbrota; 15 grandchildren; 19 great grandchildren; 1 great-great grandchild; siblings, Jim (Joan) Wood, Mike (Sandy) Wood, Steve (Deb) Wood, Nancy (Jim) Ramstad; many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; children, Joey and Marlene; grandson, Cody; sisters, Joyce Ryan and Mary Lou Larson; son-in-law, Duane Hoyer; sister-in-law, Irene Shroder and brother-in-law, Marlin Morseth; mother and father-in-law, Eda and Peter Morseth.

The memorial service will be 11:00 a.m. Monday, September 18, 2023, at Minneola Lutheran Church (13628 County 50 Blvd. Goodhue, MN), with Rev. Hannah Bergstrom de Leon officiating.  Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church.  Online condolences are welcome and may be shared at mahnfamilyfuneralhome.com.
