Sarah Kristine Murray, 29, of Rochester, passed away unexpectedly, on Monday, June 10, 2024.
Sarah was born on March 2, 1995 to Brian and Laurie Murray. Sarah grew up in the small town of Pine Island, where she graduated from Pine Island High school, before pursuing and completing a degree in Mass Communications, with a minor in Public Relations, at Winona State University.
After graduating from college, Sarah started her first job at KTTC/Fox 47 News, where she spent two years kickstarting her career as a Promotions Producer. Sarah's experiences in the news industry, along with her passion for adventure, gave her the opportunity to pursue a Creative Services Producer position at KUTV in Salt Lake City, Utah. In the four years she spent in Utah she was able to experience amazing opportunities both at work and in the outdoors. After the birth of her niece, Sarah was ready to be closer to family and moved back to Minnesota, where she returned to KTTC in a new role as a Marketing Coordinator. After a year in that position, she was able to move into a new role as the Community Engagement Coordinator which is a position she held until the time of her death. Sarah's passion and drive made her a success in both organizations, and her empathy and positivity left a beautiful impression on those she worked with and for.
Sarah had a love for great adventures, new experiences, and quality time spent with family and friends. She was a selfless soul who was there for all who needed her and a bright and positive light in this world. She will be missed immensely.
Sarah is survived by her parents, Brian and Laurie Murray of Pine Island; her sister, Katelyn Allen, niece and Goddaughter, Lylah Allen both of Byron; her grandmother, Betty Clemens of Pine Island; and many uncles, aunts, and cousins.
Sarah was preceded in death by her maternal grandfathers, her paternal grandparents, two uncles, and three infant cousins.
