Scot Gregory Krause, 57, of Red Wing, Minnesota, died unexpectedly on Tuesday, August 11, 2026 in Red Wing, Minnesota. 

Scot was born January 18,1969, in San Diego, CA, to Thomas and Linda (Phillippi) Krause. Scot grew up for the most part in the Twin Cities area, having lived in Nebraska for just a few years in the early 1980s. He graduated from Thomas Jefferson High School in Bloomington, Minnesota in 1987. Following high school, he attended the University of Wisconsin, Whitewater, where he earned his Bachelor’s Degree. Following college, Scot moved to Scottsdale Arizona where he lived and worked for many years, before finally returning to Minnesota in 2007. Most recently, Scot had moved to Red Wing, Minnesota in 2025 to live with his fiancé Alisha. Scot enjoyed the outdoors; hunting and fishing, boating, and playing golf. He was an animal lover, and his best friend in the world was his pug dog named Gus. Scot was well known for his wicked sense of humor, which at times could be considered “a bit dirty”.

Scot is survived by his mother, Linda Krause and brother, Kory Krause. He was preceded in death by his father Thomas Krause.

A celebration of Scot’s life will be held on September 12, 2026 from 12 p.m. noon to 3 p.m. Location is 7401 W 101 st Street, Bloomington, MN 55438, ground level meeting room. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to the Animal Humane Society.
