Scott Allen Storing, 68, of Red Wing, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, May 5, 2026 surrounded by family at home. Scott was born on March 27, 1958 in St. Paul, Minnesota to Charles and Carole Storing. They moved to Lake City in 1966 where Scott graduated from Lincoln High School. Scott was the manager at Anchor Inn in Lake City and then worked for many years for Dayco and Dowco, where he retired. In his free time, Scott enjoyed fishing on Lake Pepin and participating in fishing tournaments. He was an avid dog lover and in particular his dog, Dusty and Brisket. Scott cared deeply for his friends and family. He would help anyone and left a mark on everyone he met.
Scott is survived by his loving wife and soulmate of over 50 years, Lynn; sons, Scott (Christina) Storing Jr., Tony (Kelly) Storing, and Jacob (Amanda) Storing; grandchildren, Gage (McKenna), Vinny (Brianna), Logan (Anastasiya), Lily, Lexi, Magnalynn, and Samuel Storing, and a future grandson; great-grandchildren, Bear, Morgan, and River Storing; his siblings, Bob (Vicky) Storing, Linda (Randy) Wilson, Vicki (Gary) Schmidt, and Barbie Storing, all of Lake City, and James (Sherry) Storing of Oshkosh, Wisconsin.
He was preceded in death by his sister, Pam Wagner; parents Charles and Carole Storing; maternal grandparents, Carl and Alta Kukuzke; and paternal grandparents Dorothy Storing (Schwirtz), Ralph, and Emma Schwirtz.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
