Sharon Dorothy Grant

Sharon Dorothy Grant, age 70, of Red Wing, died Tuesday, April 28, 2026 at Loving Residence. She was born February 20, 1956 in St. Paul. She graduated from Alexander Ramsey High School in 1974 and went on to do more schooling. She was a hard worker that always had a job. She spent many years working in customer service and later went on to work in medical coding. She married James Grant, he later passed away in 2009. Sharon loved spending time in the Black Hills, riding horses and motorcycles, music, animals and a good cigarette.

She is survived by her children, Jason and Jesse Kaufmann; grandchildren, Kerys and Dylan Kaufamnn, Jerrell Maldacker; sister, Denise Szmiot; brother, Charles and Tim Szmiot.

She is preceded in death by her parents Frank and Dorothy Szmiot; husband David Kaufmann and husband James Grant; nephew Clinton Boyd Jr. and niece, Erin Elizabeth Boyd.

Graveside service will be 2 p.m. Friday, May 1, 2026 at the Prairie Island Community Cemetery.
