Sharon Renae (Lohman) Krie

Sharon Renae Krie, 79, of Red Wing, died Friday, September 22, 2023 at Mayo Clinic Hospital, Methodist Campus in Rochester.  She was born August 10, 1944 in Red Wing to Joice and Irene (Ullevig) Lohman.  She attended Red Wing area schools and graduated from Red Wing Central High School in 1962.  She married Jim Krie on March 14, 1964 at St. John’s Lutheran Church.  Sharon worked at RW Shoe Company for 34 years and enjoyed the friendships she had with her many co-workers.  She was always very welcoming and made everyone feel like family.  Her special time was shopping with her daughter and taking care of her many flowers.  She was a long-time member of St. John’s Lutheran Church where she had taught Saturday School and was on the altar guild.  Sharon’s family and church were very important to her.

She is survived by her husband, Jim Krie; daughter, Kim Krie; son, Kurt Krie all of Red Wing; her favorite grandson, Cole Krie; siblings, Mark Lohman of Mpls, Sue (Gaylin) Langer of Beldenville, WI, Jim (Kathy) Lohman of Red Wing; sisters-in-law, Ole Lohman and Jane Swanson; brothers-in-law, Tom Roble, Don Tietz, Dennis Swanson, John (Sheila) Krie and many nieces and nephews and an aunt, Rosie Dahl as well as her special friend, Angel Jacobson.

She was preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Sandra Roble and Linda Tietz; brother, Rodney Lohman; niece, Barb Roble; sisters-in-law, Carol Krie and Janice Swanson and brothers-in-law, Gary Swanson and Jerry Krie.

Funeral service will be 11 a.m. Friday, Sept. 29, 2023 at St. John’s Lutheran Church with Rev. Peter Sternberg officiating.  Visitation will be 4-6 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 28 and for one hour prior to the service at the church.  Memorials preferred to the church.  Online condolences may be left for the family at www.mahnfamilyfuneralhome.com
