Sharon Youngblood

Sharon Beth (Meier) Youngblood, 83, passed away in Rochester, MN, on July 24, 2024.

Sharon was born July 29, 1940, in Faribault, MN, to Alvin and Elizabeth (Eastling) Meier.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond Youngblood; brothers, Marvin Meier, Alvin Meier; sister-in-law, Earlene (Roth) Meier.

Sharon is survived by daughter, Amy Leighton, Byron; grandchildren, Halie Staloch, Rochester, Parker Staloch, Fargo, ND; nieces, nephews, and extended family.

In 1960, Sharon graduated from the Faribault School of Practical Nursing and then worked at Olmsted Medical Center for 40+ years. The majority of those years were spent in the Birth Center, however, in the latter part of her career, she worked in the hospital pharmacy as a Certified Pharmacy Technician. Sharon was a strong willed, hard working, talented, bubbly, and kind person who enjoyed the outdoors, gardening, animals, doing many types of crafts, and gathering with family and friends.

A graveside service, presided by Rev. William Meier, will be held at Maple Lawn Cemetery in Faribault, MN, August 17.
