Steven Prigge

Steven Clarence Prigge, 68, of Lake City, MN, passed away on July 23, 2025, after a courageous fight against complications following a double lung transplant. He was born on January 3, 1957, in Lake City.

On October 13, 1984, Steve married Julie Lentz and together they raised two children, Nicholas and Alexa, who were his pride and joy.

Steve dedicated 40 years of his life to Wild Wings, where he served as Operations Manager. His role took him around the world, including frequent trips to China over the span of two decades. He was a dedicated employee and respected by all.

An athlete through and through, Steve could be found playing in the softball league, golfing Thursday nights at the Lake City Golf Course, taking an evening bike ride, or working out at Anytime Fitness. And if he wasn't doing one of those activities, you'd often find him driving around town, checking out what's going on.

Above all, Steve cherished being "Papa Steve" to his five grandchildren. He adored them, and the feeling was mutual. He was always creating fun adventures, clever games, or unique challenges (often involving winning quarters!), making his home a place everyone wanted to be.

Steve is survived by his children, Nicholas (Tesla) and Alexa (Mike); his beloved grandchildren, Aiden, Nora, Adison, Alydia, and Natalie; his siblings Simone (Dennie), Nancy, Jeff (Jeri), and Karen (Jeff); and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Emery and Wilda.

Celebration of Life will be Tuesday, July 29, 2025 from 3:30 - 7 p.m. at the Lake City Sportsman Club. A private family service will be held with burial at St. John's Cemetery in Lake City. Steve will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
