Steven John Witte, a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and brother passed peacefully on October 11, 2024, at the age of 69 surrounded by his loving wife, Victoria, their children, and family in Rochester, Minnesota.
Born on April 25, 1955, to Kay and Alyce Witte in Orange, California, Steve grew up as the oldest of four siblings in Woonsocket, South Dakota. His family later moved to Scottsdale, Arizona, where he spent his teenage years before enlisting in the U.S. Air Force. It was during this time that he met his wife, Victoria.
He enjoyed his career as a rocket technician for 35 years before retiring to Minnesota. Lifelong Vikings and Twins fan, and an avid music fan especially The Beatles. He enjoyed candy, trivia, a good pizza, and Coors Light.
Steve is preceded in death by his parents Kay and Alyce Witte, and his younger brother Scott.
He leaves behind a legacy of love, survived by his wife, Victoria (née Eckman); siblings, Maryanne and Susan; As well as his children, Christina (Richard), Brent (Xiaolei), and Jeff (Holly); Along with the 9 Cutest Grandchildren in America; Andrew, Ethan, Sammy, Corbin, Gilbert, Vera, Mason, Luke, and Eleanor.
A casual Celebration of Life open house will be held October 26, 2024 from 12 - 3 pm at Floridino's (590 N Alma School Rd UNIT 35, Chandler, AZ 85224).
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made in Steve's name to The ALS Association.
