Tara Lynn Brenner, 54, of Hastings, MN, passed away on Saturday, August 17, 2024, at United Hospital in St. Paul, surrounded by family and friends, after a yearlong battle with cancer. She was born of February 15, 1970, in Red Wing, MN to Suzanne (Fink) and Roger D. Sabby and graduated in 1988, from Ellsworth High School. She worked many years at Smead Manufacturing in Hastings and at ESR, working as a job coach and then administrative assistant. She most recently worked for ISD #917 as an administrative assistant at the Juvenile Service Center in Hastings.
Tara met the love of her life, Eric Brenner “cruising the loop” in Red Wing in 1988, and they were married on September 15, 1990. They would be celebrating 34 wonderful years of marriage this year. Together they had two beautiful children, Garrett (29) and Tiffany (24). She loved her family more than anything in the world.
She loved being outside, going on long walks and boating on the Mississippi River, keeping an eye out for eagles. During the summer she loved picking out beautiful flower baskets and tending to them. She also enjoyed watching and feeding hummingbirds.
She was such a bright light in so many peoples lives and had a smile like sunshine. Anyone close to her can tell you how selfless, loving and caring of a woman she was. Her heart was full of enough love to last a lifetime. Her infectious laughter could fill up any room and could turn any day into a good one.
Tara is survived by her loving husband, Eric; two children, Garrett and Tiffany all of Hastings; mother, Suzanne Sabby of Ellsworth; father, Roger D. Sabby of Prescott; three brothers, Roger C. Sabby of Ellsworth, Jeff Sabby of Eau Claire and Donnie (Angie) Sabby of Ellsworth along with nieces, nephews and other family and many friends. She was preceded in death by her grandparents and uncle, Jody Fink.
