Tham (Maria) Thi Nguyen

A Mass of Christian Burial for Maria Tham Thi Nguyen will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday December 3rd at Holy Spirit Catholic Church in Rochester. The Rev. The Hoang will celebrate the Mass.  Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery in Rochester. The visitation will be 5:00 – 8:00 PM on Friday December 2nd at Mahn Family Funeral Home in Rochester, and will continue one hour prior to the service at church on Saturday.  Mrs. Nguyen, 88, of Rochester, died Sunday November 27, 2022 at Saint Mary’s Hospital in Rochester.

She was born April 3, 1934 in Hanoi, Vietnam.  When Vietnam split, she relocated to South Vietnam.  In 1990, she moved to the United States.  Her husband passed away early, and Tham worked very hard to provide for and protect her children.  Due to complications of surgery thirty-five years ago, Tham became paralyzed.

She is survived by a daughter and four sons; eleven grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
