Tommy Lee Westerberg

Oct 30, 1960 — Oct 30, 2026

Red Wing, MN

Thomas "Tommy" Lee Westerberg, passed away peacefully, surrounded by family, on Friday, October 30, 2026 - his 66th birthday. He was born in 1960 in Minneapolis, MN to Dwelton "Gene" and Irene (Mickolichek) Westerberg. He grew up in Coon Rapids, MN until 1977 when his family purchased the Hiawatha Ballroom and moved to Red Wing, MN. He graduated from Red Wing Central High in 1978 and worked alongside his brothers and sisters at the ballroom. In his youth, he and his family spent many summers at the family cabin in Stockholm, WI, where he developed a passion for lake fishing and a love for the outdoors.

Tommy was a skilled salesman and worked most of his career in the automotive sales industry where he met the love of his life, Lycia. In 2002, Tommy and Lycia built their lives together "up on the hill" in Hay Creek, MN where he spent the rest of his life loving Lycia and their family of fur-babies. They married on December 31, 2016, ringing in the new year as husband and wife. Tommy and Lycia's love for one another was special, deep, and true.

Together, he and his former wife, Jackie Lerum were blessed with five children. He loved his children and grandchildren deeply and cherished the moments spent with them. He was blessed to have spent the past several years retired and winter-homing in Arizona with his wife, Lycia. His summers were spent with friends and family either camping, horseback riding, or entertaining. He enjoyed cheering on the MN Vikings and sharing jokes. But mostly, he valued spending time with those he loved and sharing with them his love of music, especially around a campfire.

Tommy will be remembered as a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend.

Tommy is survived by his wife, Lycia; children, Connie (Corey) Roper, Jason (Jessica) Westerberg, Timothy (Nikole) Westerberg, Laura (Ethan) Hofland, and Daniel (Brittany Stein) Westerberg; grandchildren, Briann, Kaylyn, Lexi, Ivy, Isaac, Joseph, Jackson, Memphis, Shiann, Brantley, Oakley, Lyle, Wade, Lee, Donnavan, Kole, Callie, and Colson; great-grandchild, Jak; siblings, Andy (Cathy), Marti (Gary), Debi, and Beverly (Chad); sisters-in-law, Deanna and Shelly; brothers-in-law, Buck (Ewa) Jedlicki, and Mitch (Kris Hannasch) Jedlicki; mother-in-law, Geraldine Jedlicki; other relatives and many friends.
