Timothy Carroll

Timothy Lee Carroll, 71, of Red Wing, died Thursday, May 22, 2025, at his home surrounded, by his loving family. He was born on June 25, 1953, in Wabasha, MN to Eugene and Joye (Saunders) Carroll. He graduated in 1971, from Red Wing High School. He began working for the Red Wing Shoe Company, which led to 42 ½ years, retiring on December 30, 2015. On June 25, 1982, he was united in marriage to Cindy Jennings at United Lutheran Church.

Tim had a passion for classic cars, attending many swap meets, but also taking time to go to garage sales. Playing cards was also a favorite pastime along with being an avid sports fan of the Minnesota Twins and Vikings. A lot of special memories were made while vacationing with family and friends over the years, but most of all he looked forward to spending time with family and his grandkids.

Tim is survived by his loving wife, Cindy of 42 years; three children, Lindsey (Nate) Truex of Charleston, IL, Tanya Hayes of Red Wing and Shawn Hayes of Red Wing; four grandchildren, Abel, Easton and Dalton Truex and Hunter Hayes; 10 siblings, Dennis Carroll of Red Wing, Steve (Nancy) Carroll of Red Wing, Mary (Joe) Mondry of Red Wing, Colleen (Bruce) Welt of Red Wing, Sue (Wayne) Barsness of Stone Lake, WI, Bonnie Viscount of Red Wing, Pat Baker of New Prague, Beth (Dale) Kruse of Hager City, Peter (Lori) Carroll of Whitesboro, TX and Lisa (Joel) Schafer of Owatonna along with many nieces and nephews.

Tim was preceded in death by his parents; step father, Arnold Sundheim; sister, Nancy Bussman, brother, Bruce Carroll; infant brother, Patrick Carroll; brother-in-law, Frank Viscount his mother and father- in law, Paul and LaVonne Jennings; paternal grandparents, Eugene and Tessi Carroll and maternal grandparents, Walter and Clara Saunders and infant nephew, Levi John Carroll.

Mass of Resurrection will be 11 a.m. Thursday, June 12, 2025, at the Church of St. Joseph with Father Brandon Theisen presiding. Burial will be in the Calvary Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Wednesday, June 11, 2025 at the Mahn Family Funeral Home, Bodelson-Mahn Chapel. For the visitation, the family asks that you come causal, wearing any sports attire, classic car or fun car shirt that reminds you of Tim.
