Wade Nicholas Boldt (“Wade’O”)
Born March 16, 1966 in St. Paul to Roger & Gloria Boldt (Siewert). Moved to RW in May ’66 and had his first love of the Mississippi River journey which began in June of ‘66. Wade graduated RW Central High School in 1984 and RW Tech in 86 (A.V.T.I) Welding. He worked as a union welder (Boilermaker & machinist) from 1986-2000 at various locations. Joined Labor’s Union in 2001 and worked as a laborer until 2022.
Wade’s passion and love for the outdoors started early in his youth from years spent at “799” in Diamond Bluff where he had fond memories of his years of house boating with his family during the summer months. He furthered his passion of all things outdoors by completing his ELC journey in high school which only enriched his love and passion for anything and all things outdoors.
Wade enjoyed time spent with his love of his life Sheryle, whom he married on August 3, 2013, and with his family, children, grandchildren & all his many dear close friends. He was an avid fisherman, hunter, gardener and cook/ grill master at heart, but doing all those things he wasn’t whole unless he was with Sheryle & had his friends at his side. Many told stories of all the adventures fishing & hunting which will be shared for years to come… He found peace on the river, in his boathouse and his garage-all the things that brought him joy. He was tough on the exterior but his heart was of gold and cotton, a man of few words (unless it was about a catch or a hunt) but showed his love in such special ways that made him the softy he was.
Wade is survived by his wife, Sheryle, daughter, Josie, step-children Kristina (Jordan) Mendivil, Donovan Plank, granddaughter, Aurora, Natalie, Jr. Dayton, Dominick and Cruz. Siblings Scott (Mandi) Boldt and Monica (Willie) Root and many nieces & nephews. Proceeding him in death, his parents Roger & Gloria Boldt, son, K.C. and two nephews Cody & Austin.
