Wayne N. Hadler, age 80, of Lake City, formerly of Mazeppa, died on Wednesday July 13, 2022 at the Mayo Clinic Hospital, Methodist Campus in Rochester.
Wayne Norman Hadler was born on October 31, 1941 in Red Wing, MN the son of Norman and Evelyn (nee Kuehl) Hadler. He attended the
country school for a year and then Mazeppa Schools, graduating in 1959. He farmed near Mazeppa (Chester Township) his whole life, raising
Shorthorn cattle. He worked nights at IBM for 30 years. He was an easy-going man who enjoyed family gatherings and family history. He loved
the Mazeppa area, enjoying coffee and dining in town. He was always up on current events and attended all the area horse and tractor pulls. As
a farmer, he was greatly interested in farm equipment and his cats never went without milk. Wayne was a member of St. John’s Lutheran in
Bear Valley.


Wayne is survived by his son: Karl (Edith) Hadler of Newcastle, WA, one granddaughter: Audrey Hadler, two sisters: Judy Boxrud of Red Wing
and Dianne (Joyce) Atkinson of Zumbro Falls. He is further survived by two nieces: Missy Carlson and Amy Atkinson and one nephew: Jeff Boxrud.
Wayne was preceded in death by his parents and one brother-in-law: James Boxrud in 2008.


Funeral services will be held on Monday, July 18, 2022, at St. John’s Lutheran in Bear Valley at 11:00 a.m. Pastor Dan Reich will officiate and
burial will be in the parish cemetery.
Visitation will be held on Monday from 9-11 a.m. at the church.
Mahn Family Funeral Home Larson Chapel of Zumbrota is assisting the family with arrangements.
