Yvonne Mabel Belin

Yvonne Mabel (Anderson) Belin, was born in Minneapolis, Minnesota on August 18, 1929, to Eskel and Maguerite (Patzman) Anderson, who preceded her in death. She was a long-time member of Crown of Glory Lutheran Church in Chaska, Minnesota and is currently a member of Vasa Lutheran Church. She graduated from Ortonville High School in 1947 and Gustavus Adolphus College in 1950. She was a class agent and fund raiser for over thirty years. Yvonne worked as a child protection social worker for over 33 years with an emphasis on foster children and their families. She was a board member of Lutheran Social Services of Minnesota, Bethesda Hospital and Augustana Social Ministries. Yvonne was always a very active volunteer in church, teaching confirmation, Sunday school, led Bible studies, was a youth counselor and church and community volunteer. She was an accomplished seamstress, loved to travel and an avid reader of two books a week. Yvonne married Ralph Belin in 1952 and had three children, Kristine, Philip, and Lisa. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.

Yvonne is survived by her children, Kristine (Jonathan) Cooper, Philip (Barb) Belin, Lisa (Tim) Foecke; seven grandchildren, David, Jen, Sarah, Benjamin, Matthew, Kimberly (Dan), and Karen; and great-granddaughter Olivia.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband Reverand Ralph Belin; her parents; brother Dale; and sister Elaine.

A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, June 25, 2025, at Vasa Lutheran Church with Pastors Reggie Klindworth and Maureen Hagen officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior; burial will be at the church cemetery. Following the service, all are invited to the Vasa Lutheran Center for a luncheon with the Belin Family. Memorials are preferred to the Jussi Bjorling Music Scholarship at the Gustavus Adolphus College, St. Peter, Minnesota.
