Alice Ann Rostad

Alice Ann Rostad, 84, of Zumbrota, born July 23, 1937 in Albert Lea, passed away on October 4, 2021.

Alice graduated high school in 1955 she attended Concordia College and graduated in 1959.

Alice met George while teaching elementary school in Wanamingo, they later married and celebrated 63 years of marriage. They raised their three sons and farmed in Hader. Alice loved helping on the farm.

Alice played the organ at Trinity Lutheran Church for 40 years.

She enjoyed flower gardening, spending time with grandchildren, traveling, playing cards with friends, studying her Bible, baking and entertaining.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Casper and Ann (Finstad) Fjelstul; brother-in-law, David Price; and sister-in-law, Constance Rostad.

She is survived by her husband, George Rostad; sons, Steven (Miranda Tomforde) Rostad, Joel (Bridget) Rostad, and David (Jackie) Rostad; grandchildren, Casey (Paulette) Rostad, Melissa (Virgil) Dykes, Rachael (John) Peterson, Bradley Rostad, Jeff (Amberly) Meyer, Alyssa Meyer; great-grandchildren, Dylan Hoffman, Allison Dykes, Wyatt Rostad, Sadie Dykes, Carmyn Dykes, Levi Rostad, Owen Meyer, and Wren Peterson; brother, John (Carol) Fjelstul; sister, Connie Price.

Visitation will be held Thursday, October 7, from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Mahn Family Funeral Home - Larson Chapel.

Funeral service will be held Friday October 8, at 11 a.m. with 1 hour visit prior at Aspelund Emmanuel Lutheran Church in Kenyon, MN.

Burial will take place after the service at Minneola Cemetery in Goodhue.
